Custom folder icon, overrding non-existant TrureNAS feature

In TrureNAS you cannot change the folder icon.

From this thread in the TrueNAS forum, it frustrates some users.

Maybe it would be a good idea to add a feature so that the change will be possible when using TC. Might be a nice selling point for TC.

That doesn't work because TrueNAS uses Linux, and on Linux file systems there are no Windows attributes like "read only", "hidden" or "system", which Windows sets to indicate a changed icon. There is a Linux permissions "read", "write" and "execute", but removing "write" from a folder to indicate read only really disallows writing to the folder.
