Image thumbnails are not updated

Post by *slishnevsky »

Hi.
I have lots of images, and when I change and overwrite an image, it's thumbnail doesn't change.
Even if I save a modified image with a different name, the thumbnail of a new image files doesn't change.
Any resolution to that?
Thanks.

You can try and select the thumbnails and run the command cm_ReloadSelThumbs or run the command cm_RereadSource 1

You can also right click on the thumbnails and choose "Re-load selected thumbnails".

Please note: Total Commander will extract thumbnails directly from the image files if they contain both the full size image and thumbnail image. There are some image editing programs which only change the full size image but do not update the thumbnail image in the file. If you use such a program, you need to go to menu Configuration - Options - Thumbnails and disable the option "Internal thumbnails from images" or remove the affected extension (e.g. *.jpg) from the edit box on that line. This will make loading of thumbnails considerably slower, though.
