Compare directories ignores directories

Post by *Thany »

The "Compare Directories" feature (ironically) ignores all directories. It only marks differing files.

Can this please be extended to also include directories? Another less preferable option would to call it Compare Filenames, because that is actually what it does. Then again, a directory has a filename, and very technically speaking a directory is just a special type of file.

It's by design that cm_CompareDirs compares the contents of the currently shown directories. In that sense the directories are compared.

If you want to include subdirs in the comparison, cm_CompareDirsWithSubdirs is the command you seek.
