Thumbnails Blurry

Post by *Erpee »

For a while I am noticing that my Thumbnails are not clear anymore, teh look blurry, low red.
I am using the shareware version but never had this problem before.

See here: Image: https://prnt.sc/LEWZKlXmQ6rX

What can I do?

Possibly check menu : "Configuration / Options / Thumbnails", then :
  • change the "thumnail size" one time ?
  • or, get the "Database location" field, Empty field & OK, then set back the folder ?
  • or, go the the folder path location (field "Database location") and (backup then) remove the "tcthumbs.*" files ?

You probably used Ctrl+Mouse wheel to resize the thumbnails. This only scales the existing images, it doesn't re-request the thumbnails at the new size.
Solution: Set the scale to 100% and then choose a different base size in Configuration - Options - Thumbnails.

If you often need to zoom to larger sizes, set the thumbnail base size to twice of what you want, and then use Ctrl+Mouse wheel to zoom the thumbnails to 50%. Scaling down is always better than scaling up.
