Thanks everyone for helping investigate and reproduce this. I have already been emailing ghisler about this since yesterday, so he is aware.

Correct. As I have mentioned in previous posts in this thread, I am often searching for something like *searchstring*. I am a touch typist who has been using Total Commander for years and years back to the Windows Commander days and I even grew up with the original Norton Commander on DOS. I just type these things by muscle memory and now these searches fail because the leading asterisk (and any other characters I press before dialog load) are selected and overwritten.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem with my daily settings, but I was able to reproduce it with a fresh ini. I will try to find the reason.
