can you use tc 11.03 portable and Everything 1.4.1.1024 ?

can I ask you if you can use total commander 11.03 portable , i have selected 64bit and 32bit
and i have downloaded Everything 1.4.1.1024 64bit portable
I have read and asked here viewtopic.php?t=75947

I recommend this entry in the wincmd.ini file in the [Configuration] section, e.g. (adjust path!):
Everything=C:\Tools\Everything_1.4\Everything.exe -startup
because it starts Everything in the background if Everything has not been started yet and
if a search in TC is done using Everything.

Check whether you have these recommended settings:
[✓] Start Everything on system startup
[ ] Run as administrator
[✓] Everything Service

and to make it too portable ->

Everything=%COMMANDER_PATH%\Everything.exe -startup

Comments on this:
1. Total Commander: I would use a path WITHOUT spaces, e.g. x:\totalcommander_portable\ or C:\totalcmd\
2. A very common path for a portable TC installation is: C:\totalcmd\ (much shorter)
    Based on this path, it is already clear that it is probably a portable installation of Total Commander.

3. Everything:
    ATTENTION: Everything portable must be installed on your system drive which is usually the C drive and NOT X drive(!).
    If this is not set, there will be problems with the Everything Service(!)

    E.g. %COMMANDER_PATH%\tools\Everything\Everything.exe
    This corresponds to, e.g.
    - C:\totalcmd\tools\Everything\Everything.exe                             (without space in the path and folder "Everything"!)
    - C:\totalcommander_portable\tools\Everything\Everything.exe   (without space in the path and folder "Everything"!)

I would recommend the 64 bit version in any case.
NOT because of the performance, but because the 32 bit version can only address 4 GB RAM (of which approx. 2 GB is available for the user).
(Only for Everything 1.5.0.1372a (x64), for example, I already need 1.55 GB RAM (for content indexing, etc.)).

No, I mean in the options dialog of Everything (when Everything is running right-click on the Everything icon in the System tray and choose Options - or double-click on Everything.exe and choose Tools -> Options - and open the "General" section).

For me, the issue of "portable Everything Version - NOT on a system drive" caused problems for a very long time(!).

By the way: The option " Start Everything on system startup" was already set in Everything back then.

A normal search should take about 15 milliseconds per 1 million files.
A match path search should take about 50 milliseconds per 1 million files.
wildcards will make the search slower.

Searching can be really slow if Everything is being paged to and from disk.

The Everything author makes no difference in speed between x64 and x86
and I don't think you will normally be able to tell the difference
as the indexed search result is displayed in Everything in real time.

If you value speed, then you should use version 1.5a instead of Everything 1.4 as this is considerably faster:

Regarding Everything 1.5a there is information about speed here:

Just out of interest:
1. Which portable installation paths (TC and Everything) have you decided on now?
2. Everything 1.5a is not an option for you?

Using the administrator function in Everything often leads to problems and should therefore only be used
for a short time and for specific purposes. Normally, the user function and NOT the administrator function should be used!
