Sorting a directory of 3400 folders is not sorted

Is there a limit sorting directories?
In 10.52 a directory of 3400 folders is not sorted when the tring to change the sorting order.

Have you already checked the settings?

I have very large folder with many guid sub folder and sorting by name/date is pretty fast.
By default, TC do not sort folder as File. If you need this, you have to check [like files (also by time)] in Configuration - Display - Sorting directories Section.
If it is already checked,
Do you use the menu or regular [ctrl]+F3/4/5/6/7 to trigger the sort ?
Is it a real Folder on a local drive ?
Do you use custom columns ?
