Quick Search No Longer Works with Spaces in Newer TC Version
I recently noticed something different with Quick Search in the 11.51 version of Total Commander.
In my older TC version 9.51, I could search for files by typing parts of the name with spaces, for example searching des h would find admin-design-hours.php.
However, in the newer version, spaces are no longer recognized, and I now have to use * as a wildcard des*h. The issue is that typing * requires Shift + * which makes searching less convenient then just a space click.
Does anyone know if there’s a setting to restore the old search behavior where spaces work normally? Or is this a permanent change in newer TC versions?

Perhaps you used QuickSearch eXtended?

I have just tested this - it doesn't in TC 9.51 either.
Maybe you had Quick Search Extended installed?
Edit: white was faster!

There is absolutely nothing to change for a new version.omdawe wrote: 2025-06-27, 11:26 UTC When will TC have a auto updated in the program, like most other programs do? I hate updating to a new version now a days. So much things i need to change..
Just update over the current installation and all works as before.
I do this since many years and never had to change anything on my config just for the update.
You may now use newer functions, but this has noting to do with an update.

Since this wasn't a bug, I'm moving this thread to the English discussion forum.
