I can not install 5mat.wcx. At the end of installation of 5mat.wcx, TC 6.5 firstly reported an about "invalid floating point operation", then reported that this is not a valid packer plugin. Any idea?

Thanks!

Probably you don't have some libraries. You need to copy them anywhere in your search path before installing the plugin.
From readme:
1. The MATLAB Version 5 MAT-file plugin uses exported functions from external interfaces of The MathWorks. If you have not installed MATLAB R13, MATLAB R13.0.1, MATLAB R13SP1 or MATLAB R13SP2 you need to get libmat.dll, libmx.dll and libut.dll via anonymous FTP from
ftp://ftp.mathworks.com/pub/tech-support/solutions/s8757/v6/bin/ first.
Total download size is about 416 kBytes. Make sure that the correct versions of these DLL's are found first on your search path.

Thanks for the info. It seems that this plugin does not support matlab r14. I have matlab r14 installed.

Again from readme:
* Limitations:
---------------

o Version 6 MAT-files of MATLAB R14 or newer can not be handled. You should use the '-v6' option in MATLAB R14 or newer for backward compatibility when saving variables in Version 5 MAT-files.

It seems to be talking about how to handle mat files created in MATLAB r14.

But I can not install 5mat.wcx if I only have matlab r14 installed.

Try to copy the downloaded files (libraries) to the plugin folder if you don't want to copy them anywhere in the search path.

It does not help. I downloaded libmat.dll, libmx.dll and libut.dll from the link and put them in the plugin's folder. It still can not be installed.

Sorry, no other ideas :-( It works at my computer. However I don't have MATLAB installed so I can't check it in such case.

Maybe you can try the fileinfo plugin (wlx) to see which dll is missing in your system

I renamed my matlab r14's path temporarily, then I can install 5mat and it works very well.

So it is because I installed matlab r14. Thank you anyway!
