Question about super_wdx plugin

Post by *Raymond »

This super_wdx plugin is interesting. I almost know how to use it except one thing: how to set TC internal content values, such as tc.size, tc.path, etc?
Maybe its readme already tell it, but I can't read Russian.

It's a kind of an aggregator, allowing you to use different content plugins for different types of files. Actually, I waited for such a plugin for some time :)

Yes, first add a custom column contains SUPER_COLUMN. Then run SSettings.exe to define different content fields for different file types. First you should tell SSettings.exe where is wdx plugin folder.
I already know how to add content plugin field value, but can't figure out how to add TC internal content field, such as tc.path.
Who can tell me? or it's unavailable at present?

2Raymond
So it seems to be just like the content plugin enhanced tooltip but intended to be used in a custom column, right?

To Lefteous
Yes, you can display different content plugin fields of different file types under one custom column at the same time. It's great.
Check its screenshot you will get the idea.

Edit:
Here comes another question: how to apply to folder type, for example with DirSizeCalc plugin?

Hi,

2Raymond
Edit:
Here comes another question: how to apply to folder type, for example with DirSizeCalc plugin?
You can use <DIR> - it applies to folders, but I could not set it to display kbytes or Mbytes, like I can in custom column mode inside TC.
It also does not allow to join different extensions, ie. txt; nfo; diz - so the command must be repeatet for every extension.

It would also be useful to set more than one SUPER_COLUMN, so different information could be set in different columns.
Opera - simply the best internet experience

You can use sample plugin.
It does the same as the built-in content plugin

Thank you! But I found it's not exactly the same as build-in content plugin.
For example check TC folder with "versionstring" you can see the difference.

Anyway, the idea of super_wdx plugin is great. I'm looking forward to its next version.

Glad the author finally appears here.:)
The english doc of version 0.9b has answered my questions above.

Here is a problem:
With DirSizeCalc plugin, its "on demand" fields have this feature: press the SPACE key on keyboard to start the calculation.
Yet apply "on demand" fields to SUPER_COLUMN, press the space key will get nothing.
Could this problem be solved ?

hm, i'll give this a try, so far, it's not doing anything for me, the super column is empty after setting up some extensions.

once i figured out how it works i will do a translation to german, it's only a few words.

thnx to the author.

/edit: working now, silly me didn't execute the settings.exe in the right folder.

:) Hello !
¤ Though I can't install your plugin actually (I've to rebuild my usual PC soon…), I translated the language-file into French, not a big job ;)
- Please, consider the comment at the bottom… :P
- The French strings are always pretty longer ! So, you might adjust the rooms for them, then any other language-string might fit in.
- "Arial" or "Tahoma" as internal font is much better for French…
