TC6-6.5/IrfanView/Clipboard bug

Post by *Valery_Kondakoff »

Hi!

Some times ago there were reports: when a user tryes to 'View' or 'Quick View' an images they show up in binary view instead of in image view. You should hit 'Options - Image/Multimeda' several times to force the image to be displayed in image mode.

Here are the links to older reports:
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=43658#43658
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=17740#17740

The problem is fully reproducible with the latest TC build, when TC is used with some clipboard extender (ArsClip, in my case). So: if a user have some clipboard extender installed it can not View/Quick View the images.

If there is a chance the problem will be fixed?

Thank you.

Use the Imagine plugin.
Its much faster and you don't have any Clipboard problems.

Excuse me for asking this again. If there is some update on this issue? I know there is an Imagine plugin, which does not use the Clipboard, but I don't really want to install another one plugin, when I have IrfanView already installed.

If there is a chance to see TC Quick View internal implementation which will not use System Clipboard?

Thank you.

That would surprise me as there are excellent plugins, so developing the IrfanView interface seems to be unnecessary for me, but lets wait for the author ;-)
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

It is already implemented, you just need to wait for the next release of Irfanview. The author has already implemented it and tested it (and i have tested it too), and he has promised the update for March or April.

@Christian: He has missed March, do you know more about a release date?
