[BUG] Full path cut off in status bar in cust. col. view

Post by *Hacker »

The full path and name of a file is cut off at the margin where the "Name" column ends when invoking branch view in any custom columns view and LongInStatus=1.

Steps to reproduce:
LongInStatus=1
Extension in separate column
Choose any Custom columns view
Make "Name" column narrow
Enter Branch view
Look at the status bar - the path and name of the file under cursor is cut off after the border of the Name column, though there is much more space left to the right.

See screenshot.

I've reported this bug long ago, looks like Christian missed it.

BTW, how to show PATH (together with name) in status bar? I didn't know it's possible before.

If you follow the instructions of Hacker you can ;).

Use branchview and point the cursor to a file the sticks in the deeper labyrinth of your filesystem.

Got it, thanks Sheepdog.

Actually this bug happens simply in any cust.col.view, not necessarily in branchview.

If you select 'Comments'- view you get this behavior even with longinstatus=0 (for better visibility you could use vertical view).

You did not choose a file deep in the folderstructure but in the root of the [Ctrl]+-view, I guess.
