[bug??] cm_UnloadPlugins doesn't work anymore
After years of using TC I recently used this command the first time ever for testing purposes. The very first time I invoked this command, it did what I expected. But since then this command simply doesn't work anymore and all plugins stay active, even after restarting the System
Maybe the cause is some crude configuration hassle on my machine, but before doing a detailled search for the possible cause I'd like to know if anybody can reproduce this...
WinXP SP2, tested with TC6.53 & 6.54pb2

Please use Unlocker to test which process lock the plugins and if something changes after cm_unloadplugins:

Hm, I tried unlocker (nice tool as always, btw!) and here you can see its output after right clicking my plugins folder. Actually I don't know if those TC locks on Imagine and Synplus are normal or not.
I disabled these two plugins in TCPlugMan to see if TC would unload the remaining ones, and
also tried 'unlock all', but cm_unloadplugins still refuses to work.
I'm wondering what could be the reason for this strange behaviour. A solution is not mandatory though, as I usually don't use that feature, it's mainly curiosity that drives me...

How do you check if the plugin is unloaded or still loaded?StickyNomad wrote:Maybe the cause is some crude configuration hassle on my machine, but before doing a detailled search for the possible cause I'd like to know if anybody can reproduce this...

Thanks all for your answers!

Thanks, I tried that already.

To test if a plugin is still active I just hit F3 on some plugin-supported file (image, sourcecode, whatever) and wondered why the plugin still opened after having invoked cm_unloadplugins before.
I assumed that all plugins would be permanently disabled for the actual TC session. Am I totally wrong with that and every plugin is reloaded again automatically when invoked after unloading?
If that's the case, a big bunch of shame on me for creating this hassle

My sig is taken from Douglas Adams' great dictionary 'The deeper meaning of liff'.
Too bad someone uses it already, maybe I'll search for a new one, there are many funny entries in that book I can really recommend this if you like Adams.

Oh, damn! This brings mo to a point I didn't think about until now:How do you check if the plugin is unloaded or still loaded?

To view files in Lister without any plugin use [Alt]+[Shift]+[F3].StickyNomad wrote: Dang! Thanks for your help and sorry again. I simply totally misunderstood this functionality

Thanks, I know that. The reason for me trying this out is I just wanted to create an Autohotkey Script as a workaround for this user's problem in a german thread and tried to be smart and let the script unload all plugins first to prevent the delayed opening of the find dialog stated by th user...
Now that I know a little more I can play around and maybe I can assemble a quite usable solution (at least if I'm faster than the AHK Gurus around here )
