hide special windows (xp) directories
Hello All,
what about an option to hide "Recycler" and "System Volume Information" directories? There are not useful and only take place. Or, maybe it's already possible?
Greetings.
Yellow

Why do you want it off, one might reply? But why do you need to have the option 'show hidden files' on?

support++. There are simply some files or folders that we can't do without (a windows thing i guess) but won't mind not seeing or don't care what happens to them. And there are some files or folders that are hidden/system that we really mind seeing / accessing.Lefteous wrote: Such a blacklist feature has been suggested before and it's already on the wishlist. This means it will be implemented, but not sure when.

2SanskritFritz: Due to the secret rules of MS some important folders are hidden too. (e.g. the personal TEMP folder located at "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Temp" itself is not hidden, but the "Local Settings" folder is)
No way to traverse to this folder with 'show hidden files' off ...

I keep my files hidden. There is usualy a good reason why those files are hidden. I keep show/hide hidden files on F12 shortcut so I switch fast between this 2 views when necessary. I even hide Windows & Doc&Settings because I want to concentrate on my own folders. But why do you need to have the option 'show hidden files' on?
sqa, You can go to TEMP much faster if you just type cd %TEMP% in TC.

I have set the Local Settings and Application Data folders visible long time ago. Those folders are important to me, so they should not be hidden. An then again, if one often visits the temp folder, the Ctrl-D menu is just suitable for the task...
