• Sorry also, wrong… Please, give a glance on this image which a part of a menu in the "Imagine" plugin (Delphi), the names of the keys are translated alright.
Sorry also, wrong. :) Imagine is not in Delphi (checked now).
SGViewer is in Delphi.
- Moreover, on TC itself you can translate all key-names in the menu-files, and TC is a Delphi programme, isn't it ?
Yes, it is. But TC uses non-Delphi dynamic menu creation.

I use static menu created at design-time. TC creates menu at run-time.
• IMHO, a *.MNU text file is more flexible and allows to translate all items directly…), including the key-names (the Win translations are rather fancy for some ones…)
Yes, you are right. But again: MNU files is dynamic, non-Delphi menu creation method.

PS
Don't know why local menu is not visible in text mode...

Wich mysterious function ?

Post by *Clo »

2Alextp

:) OK, but like I said :
…this is not translated in that text file (it could be…), but got from a certain function of Windows (I don't know which one).
- At least, it could be better than nothing if you could catch this, it might not be programming-language dependant ?
Don't know why local menu is not visible in text mode...
• Unfortunately, I can't test here with another PC immediately… I have three machines out, all to repair…
• Maybe somebody could test with Win XP-Pro SP1 ?

Problem is not where to get these strings from (from MNU files or from system), problem is in Delphi: Delphi doesn't allow localization of these strings (they are constants).
Unless you use non-static menu.

Ok.

BTW, did you see video by majkinetor: browsing files with TC's QV mode and with script that calls Viewer?
(In topic "Lister flickering".)

@Alextp, another request:
1. Please add choice for OEM font.
2. It would also be nice to have, in contrary to lister, a *working* autoswitch to OEM font on startup without the need to manually press "S".

This font is pretty cool for viewing NFO and the like, by the way:

Before I forget, little annoyance:
The color choice buttons have no text attached.

did you see video by majkinetor:
Nope. I rarely CAN download from rapidshare. Only at night, when noone else from my local network does try ;)
But it's easy for me to imagine what is there :D
F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab... - I like to move IT, move IT!..

Not easy... There is 3-5 times speed-up in browsing by Viewer. Much less flickering.

I'll add these items to "to-do".

They have text "Colors:". Maybe I'll add 3 text labels for them.

:) Hi Jeff !
The color choice buttons have no text attached.
• And¦or :  What about the top of each button showing it's current colour ? If possible, of course…

Hm. What do you mean? What is "authoswitch to OEM font"? You mean Viewer must autodetect file codepage and switch to OEM if file is OEM?

If yes, it's hard to do, because mode detection will fail in most cases (for most NFO files).
