Launched Windows Explorer > Organize > Folder and Search Options > View: Hidden Files and Folders = Show hidden files, folders, and drives. Closed, restarted TC: Still no extension.
Btw: Why not using the actual 8.51a?
Because I only upgrade applications where there's a compelling reason for it.

Uncheck "[_] Hide Extensions for known file types" !!!

You may find one or two reasons in 826 documented lines of changes since 03.08.2012 (final release of 8.01) in http://www.ghisler.com/history.txt :wink:
