Perhaps this post will help:
Everything cannot search those disks that are mapped to local from network path.

There is another topic of discussion here:

I run 'Everything' 1.5.0.1383a as a service and not as administrator.

Besides that, I don't say that 'Everything' cannot search on a mapped network drive (in 'Everyting's own Show Window') - it can. I am saying that TC does not use 'Everything' for searching on a network drive

I'm still using Everything 1.4.1.x and it works fine here. I have added the drive in Everything Options on the page Indexes - Folders with the options to "Attempt to monitor changes" and "Rescan Every 1 hours".

Do you see the network drive when opening the Everything user interface and searching for:
?:
This should list all indexed drives. This is what I'm using to determine whether I can use Everything on a certain drive, or have to do the search myself.

Thank you for the clarification.

Everything Options - 1.5.0.1383a (x64):
Where did you enter the mapped drive?
In "Network Drives" or "Folders"?

In the above linked topic, Folder Indexing is mentioned by the author of 'Everything'.
I would test this setting...

I assume that you also didn't get any search results with the prefixes ev: and ed: in Total Commander?

?:
Yes -in 'Everything' 1.5 There is a separate "Network drives" index category, where the mapped drives are automatically listed.

But now I tried searching on the network drive again, and now' Everything' is working - I guess the indexing for the network drive hadn't finished (it takes a long time) the first time I tried.
Where did you enter the mapped drive?
In "Network Drives" or "Folders"?
It turned up in "Network drives" automatically - I just had to "Include in database".

I have also tried to add the network folder C$ to the "Network Indexes" . so I don't have to map it as a drive, but that I cannot get to work.

Perhaps entering the folder C$ under “Folders” (= Folder Indexing) will do the trick.

Information on the topic “Network Indexes” can be found here:
Thanks . nothing I can use there. I have already installed the "Everything server" plugin, and from one PC I have managed to make it work for one drive on the other PC (but not for other drives) - I can not make it work the other way between the two PC's. 'Everything' does make a connection to the other PC and in 'Everything, I can search the files in real time, but not in TC.'

Thanks for the info.

I guess I can't contribute anything more to this topic.

If you want to pursue the topic of “Everything Server”,
I think the Everything Forum would be a good place to start.

I did make it work with Network indexes - but if the other computer i a little busy, there can be some significant delay in getting the folder sizes.
It seems to wotk much more steady when mapping the \\server\C$ network directory as a Network drive.

Using "Network indexes" in 'Everything's own window seem to work all the time, but via TC it comes and goes whether TC get's the date from 'Everything'

Sometimes when I want to see the dirsizes for the root of a Network indexed drive it can be as slow as if not using 'Everything' at all - then I can restart TC and press Shift+Alt+ Enter and the dir sizes are show as fast as on the lokal drive ( 1second or less ).

it is as if TC has only set a certain amount of memory for 'Everything' data, and that memory gets congested over time.

Sometimes, if the sizes are not shown immediately, it seems to help to run cm_rereadSource 3, and then press Shift+Alt+Enter again.

On that PC where it doesn't work, does the network drive appear in the Everything user interface when you search for
?:
or not?

It was not the "Network drive" that didn't work it was the "Network indexes" - but read my last post - Sometimes it works (both dir-sizes and search), and the a minute later it doesn't, and then maybe another minute later it does again. And as I wrote, it appears that cm_rereadSource 3 makes the dir-sizees work again. Notice this is all with "Manual Alt+Shift+Enter" dir-size calculation - it is too randomly working to use with "Automatic, only with 'Everything'" on Network drives

Do I understand correctly that this is the client PC with the “Network Indexes” option set up
and which by default gets the paths from the “Everything Server” for which GetDirSize=.. in TC does not work?

Because you have already confirmed that it works with the “Network Drives” option.

Yes, I have “Everything Server” running on both PC's and put the root of the drives I want indexed for the opposite PC in the Include only box of the "Network indexes" (with username@othercomputername in the "Temote Everything indexes"

Just one more question:
If you enter the search command root: on the client PC, for example, is the indexed drive (-> Network Indexes)
displayed in the search result?

That was also the question from Mr. Ghisler (search command ?:).
