I didn't tell about 10 more buttons. I told about current implementation. Currently present buttons are the most frequently used ones - that's why they should be visible, with easy and fast access. Additional 10 more options that you're talking about can be implemented like you suggested: an additional button that shows the drop-down set of buttons, or list, or just menu (like in the Copy dialog - the Options button which shows the drop-down menu with additional options).

cmon flint... should I work another 10 minutes just to prove you that everything there can be accessed with single click or single hot key or several TABS ?

And Ghisler should think more about the future... and stupid things like "Pleaes add ALT F4 - it is not possible sorry" wouldnt happen so often !

Don't understimate designing talents of r-moth duo :)
We can make this dialog look like a champion !!!! :) :) Ask sans :)

I just told my own opinion. For me such an implementation will definitely be less convenient than the current one.

Majkinetor's dialog is rather for mouse users i think, not for me. I also like the plain button dialog better.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

I vote for Flint's suggestion. It's nice and simple. I can't judge Majki's solution because I am not going to install .Net Framework (I try to keep my PC as Micro$oft free as possible).

Lol, except Windows... Like saying I'll make my pc, except I'll do it witout MBO :)

I know you mean everithing besides Windows, but it made me smile :)

For suggestion of Lesmo16, I support it also. Nice and clean. Easyer to read at first glance.

With a "rename target" and each button with an icon, that is one seriously cluttered dialog.

I'd prefer [Cancel] to be on the bottom right instead. Leaving the overall design as Flint suggested just swapping the 2nd and 3rd rows...ie:

"Overwrite", "Overwrite all", "Overwrite all older"
"Rename", "Rename Target", "Append"
"Skip", "Skip All", "Cancel"

A copy dialog that would allow to preset options would be worthwhile as well, where you could predesignate skip-all or overwrite-all, append, or even how to rename a conflicted file.

[Edit] Guess there is a dialog [Options] already, though isn't exactly obvious on how the Auto-Rename checkboxes work...maybe buried in the help file somewhere. [/Edit]

This time, this isn't something you can choose.
.NET framework is essential thing....
This is a bad design for you petermad.

don't say....

I like Flint's dialog also..... but mark my words about the future....

Yeah and the future is closer than most TC users think, it wont be that long before the masses switch to Microsoft Vista/Longhorn...and a 32bit file manager really wont cut it.
*BLINK* TC9 Added WM_COPYDATA and WM_USER queries for scripting.

Fixed - thanks for that info! :)
But I hope you agree that it should be fixed in upcoming final v6.54 setup.
Sir_SiLvA wrote:U must be using an older Version of TC as your Picture doesnt Show the Button "Append" wich btw misses a ShortCut in the standard file too :D
 I'm using v6.54pb4, but I've never seen an "Anhängen" button, although the caption is in row 1309 of my language file.
Sir_SiLvA wrote:But back to Topic - i dont now if the Cancel-Button should even stay as you can break the Operiation with the X-Button or Escape.
It should remain there for better handling and at least for consistence.
