Thanks

Used your file, thanks
The file date is right for the EXE, but as April 22, 2007 for the English LNG.
- "Properties" on the EXE doesn't help, there is nothing to read there

Confirmed, it's weird. I opened both Config.exe and Plugman.exe with a Resource-Browser plugin to check for the version info. Although its stored in the same place for both files, viewing the properties dialog for Plugman appears empty here, too. A comparison of both extracted info parts didn't reveal any reason for the issue.

Btw, using the Fileinfo-plugin shows v1.9.0.0 for Plugman, so there is info data left which needs to be updated. Alex, try to replace the version data of Plugman with the one from Config.exe and see if that fixes it. If thats the case you then can find and fix the issue faster and easier.

Compared Config.RC and Plugman.RC:
Plugman.rc has missed string:

Code: Select all

   VALUE "FileVersion", "1.9\000"
added it and now it's OK in Explorer...

Wow, that' weird. It must be optional. It's Explorer issue.

Can you please add "remember sort order" on disabling/enabling also for packer plugins? Position is important for MultiArc, also for other conflicting plugins that support the same extension(s).

Although packer plugins are not numbered by TC, you could number them internally. As long as the user doesn't modify the sort order manually in wincmd.ini, there is no problem, and even if he does, the only thing that happens is that sort order is broken.

Thanks! ;)

Need to think. I don't promise, as this feature is somewhat unusual...

req: sorting wdx plugins automaticly alphabetical on click?

Post by *versalzen »

hello Alextp,

this might be a special whish, but it seems to me it could be important for optimizing the work/use of wdx-files in tc. at least for me ;-)

i have 44 wdx plugins installed and often test and try new ones.
the list of wdx plugins in tc is sorted after installation-date of plugins, which is -after a while and after in-/deinstalling a lot of plugins- useles and dizzying, because the whole list is mixed up and has no understandable order.

editing the wincmd.ini to sort the list of wdx-plugins alphabetical is a horror-story so a utility such as yours could do the job quite better and faster, i think.

i'd like to sort the plugins alphabetical, because orderin them by hand with your plugin is a long-run too. also, i have to learn the abc again ;>

do you mind implementing such a feature as sorting the pluginlist automaticly?

i know, that some pluginauthors name thei plugins "wdx_foobar" instead of "foobar" (shame on them), but at least, they would be all sorted wdx_foo1, wdx_foo2, wdx_foo3, ... which is more readable as foo3, wdx_foo1 ...

what do the others think?

To sort alphabetically, I can strip "[1] " part out of plugin names in list.

Edit
Added in version 1.9.4.0.

Uploaded to totalcmd.net, not announced yet..

resulting as a sorted saveable list? great!
What do you mean "saveable", plugins list is only sorted on screen, no reorder is in ini.

May I suggest that you add support to the Tweak -> Flags dialog for the new possibility for packer plugins to support encryption:
10.09.06 Added: Packer plugin interface can now support encryption
