W98SE only---

Post by *Clo »

2Lefteous
Sorry I have no idea.
:) Hello !
¤ That occurs under Win 98 SE only, in both my "old" test-PCs : PII - @350 MHZ - 320 MB SD-RAM, and PI -@166 MHZ - 192 MB SD-RAM, which has a much better graphic-card (16 MB video-Ram).
- Under XP-Pro, the colours are almost right (though darker, but blue).
* So, something is wrong in that tool-bar design; using a softer word than BlackDog (although…), I may say it's unfinished (at least !)

>>> To All :
¤ Please, let me know what you get as colours under Win 98 SE, in order to send a request to nyam.

Hello !
- Lister supports *.WMF directly, it doesn't call Imagine.
- It's that I get @ home, under Win98SE…
- Indeed, about image-processing : peanuts !
- But if needed, I can always reset XnView for that job…
{ Off-topic : thanks for the reply, but a pen-pal sent me the missing lines of <History.txt>; I completed ! }

I don't like the way it provides that support...

How about an option for "Use Resample instead of resize for fitting"?
When you use QuickView or Lister, Imagine "fits" the image into the available client area, but uses resize algorithm instead of resample, which leads to quality loss.

LOL Dear Lefteous, I said what I said, i.e. not "nice toolbar" but "crap", that "f***ing bar" is IMHO. And this is not about small display but the fact that such a thing as that "f***ing bar" is IMHO absolutely useless in such a brilliance viewer Imagine is. Or do you have any problems with it?

And I didn't ask how to hide that crap via GUI but just state one can't do it.

Dear Lefteous, if the things would be so easy, do you really think I would waste my time by posting here? 8/

So just go to the point "7." and open an image in Lister one more time - in my case "f***ing bar" appears regardless of the fact I have just disabled it, so "I had to edit Imagine.ini to get rid of that f***ing bar".[/face]

I am sure the f-word is fooling, not fucking.
Black Dog is a nice guy and would never use bad f-words especially not when making bug reports for beloved plugins.

Fix the bugs---

Post by *Clo »

To all :

:) Although our fine jokes, I think that nyam has got upset; that doesn't solve and fix up the actual bugs in Imagine, like they are described here (regardless in what style…).
* A lot of users is aware that Imagine is the best pic-viewer plugin currently (in my modest opinion), and should wish to get some positive replies from nyam.

I expect plugin ini files in the corresponding plugin dir just like I expect TC ini file in the TC config dir. Why should a program store its settings in a dir of another program?

I wanna be able to copy/delete plugins and search for the correct config file without any hassle. With more than 50 plugins installed it would simply drive me crazy to keep my dirs tidy.

So, to me it's a really bad idea. If it is made optional I don't care of course.

I know the arguments and have explained that I have nothing against that feature wish if it is made optional, that's what
If it is made optional I don't care of course.
means, right?

It's always a good idea to choose between different ini locations for special purposes, no matter if it's wincmd.ini, Imagine.ini or some other ini and I would like that.

But it's a bad idea in general to limit the plugin.ini location to the dir where wincmd.ini is located as this annoys me and other users who prefer to have all settings in one place for easier management.

So, if you would have proposed to make this setting optional it would have been a pleasure for me to support that wish. As you have made the same old proposal again without listening to the contra arguments (being told in that old thread) I can't take it too serious as it was not very well thought out.
