So the meaning is the other way around. That's fine.

;-) Yes, I have edit my posting. The hit on keyboard 'n' key failed :-)

But what's about this within this thread?:
Ambaquista wrote: 2022-12-30, 14:47 UTC What I want is this:

Show in the panel (default view):
1folder <DIR>
2folder <DIR>
3folder <DIR>
4folder <DIR>
5folder <DIR>
1fileA size
1fileB size
2fileA size
2fileB size
2fileC size
2fileD size
3fileA size
4fileA size
4fileB size
4fileC size

What I want: (sort alphabetical)
1folder <DIR>
1fileA size
1fileB size
2folder <DIR>
2fileA size
2fileB size
2fileC size
2fileD size
3folder <DIR>
3fileA size
4fileA size
4fileB size
4fileC size
4folder <DIR>
5folder <DIR>

As I wrote here:
petermad wrote: 2024-01-23, 19:08 UTC I cannot help that some other posters, mixed the ability of mixing up files and folders into this thread
Apart from that - I agree with Ghisler that it can be a very dangerous feature to mix folders and files in the file list
