Indeed hard links point to the same file data. Since mp3 tags are stored within the data portion of the file, modifying the mp3 tag will modify the data of both links. However, if you use comments instead (Ctrl+Z), they will be stored separately by file name in a file named descript.ion, so the two hard links will have separate comments.

I know there is MP3Tag application but will anytag.wdx ever be updated to support writing tags?
