No, No. I already have the latest version with all the bug correction i found. I have been using it and it is stable and usable. it is only missing some minor FS options like overwrite. Now i will begin working in new planned features.

Tomorrow i have the readme.txt all written. I want the next version delivered with a readme.txt file. Tomorrow morning i will post here and in totalcmd.net.

When you said that %commander_path% was not supported you meant in the ini file? Explain please.

%COMMANDER_PATH% is an environment variable set by TC for all its child processes that points to TC's install dir.

plugin wont work with %commander_path%

In the latest version which is not yet uploaded you can use this environment variable in the INI settings for the database location:
datafile=%commander_path%\database.xml
Is this what you were talking about?

Trying out this plugin for the first time. Here are my findings.

1. I downloaded the zip package from totalcmd.net
2. Installed the plugin via the auto installer
3. Went to networkneighbourhood
4. Hit Enter on the passstore
5. Got the message:
Main section not found!!
Ini file is invalid !!
(assuming this happens on a clean installation, I continued)
6. I get an input box with Type password
7. Put in a password and hit Enter
8. I get the message:
Passwords not equal.
Retype password!
Hit the OK button, back at the Enter Password screen.
9. Hit Cancel to get back to TC.

Where am I going wrong?

Its all explained in the INSTALL section.

.If this is the first time you install plugin make sure you rename the files:
"clean_passStore.ini" -> "passStore.ini"
"clean_database.xml" -> "database.xml"

have you renamed your files?

I had to do this because anyone with an older version would have its database and ini settings overwritten. i will fix that in next version.

Sorry to say that I did read the readme.txt but I guess only with half an eye

Anyways, I did a clean install, renamed the files but still something is going wrong here. When I open passstore, I am asked for the master password, which I put in. Then it opens passtore and it is completely empty (like an empty folder).

Checking the passStore.ini it says:
datafile = clean_database.xml.

As I renamed the database.xml file, I adjusted the passStore.ini file.

Restarted TC, then opening passstore gives me an access violation at address 02157AB9. Read of address 00000008. Please report this error to the Author.

Then removed passStore. Re-installed. Did the same routine and ended up with the same error.

Once more removed passStore and re-installed it. This time I only renamed passStore.ini (as it refers to clean_database.xml). Then opening gives me the access violation again. Instead of telling it not to continue execution I said yes. Then switchted to browser and back to TC. It prompted me for the master password. After putting it in, I get again the empty folder.

Not sure where I go wrong.

One other tiny thing I want to point out. Standard most if not all plugins install into Plugins\WFX\Plugin name. The WFX can be WLX etc. depending on type of plugin. Your installer goes to Plugins\PassStore. Would be nice if it goes to Plugins\WFX\PassStore

I am really sorry about this. It happens that 2 keys are missing from the ini file which are causing the plugin failing to load.

These ini keys makes no sense anymore, at least for now, if they are missing the plugin doesn't work. please add these two lines to your INI file:

showasfile=0
hidebasename=0

They shoulf be always 0. I will fix this in the next release.
I will update totalcmd.net with the new zip file containing the correct ini file.

Another thing. By mistake i put the wrong clean_database.xml. This file is not clean.

Yes. I can make it translatable. Now i am spendign my efforts in unfinished features like modify password. I am getting some problems with this, but this feature is important. After this, i can will make it translatable.
