I successfully passed an entire image copied from a fullscreen view in the Imagine lister plugin into another image that I had opened in XnViewMP, into a Calc sheet (Excel) using LibreOffice, and into a empty Open Document using LibreOffice Write. Each time the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C/V was used.

The clipboard can hold various types of data at the same time. Recently, when you press Ctrl+C in Imagine, both text (file path) and image are included, but word processors (MS Word, etc.) seem to always try to import only text. Actually, it's not a problem with Imagine, but I fixed it back to the old way of only including image.

It seems that the behavior of the Word depends on its version. For 2016 and 2019, with the same steps, only text is inserted.Open an $image with Imagine 1.3.9 (standalone): press Ctrl+C
Being in $word.Document: hit Ctrl+V
result: an $image (as a picture) is being inserted.
