Can we add like in the lister a UTF-8 option in the Compare tool like there is already Binary and Unicode options ?

With that, we will have a better view of the TXT files with special characters.

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to add it, sorry. The problem is that UTF-8 characters can be between 1 and 5 bytes long, so we cannot simply make a bytewise comparison.

If it is to difficult to do, I will continue to work like that... The differences between 2 files are often on lines or words not only on special French characters.

I will prefer if you can implement a special option to Lister for working with text file using UTF-8 format by default (without looking for the UTF-8 signature) requested in this entry
