[Req] Predefines in attributes

Post by *F.R.@.N.K »

I need to change attributes of files on a web server allot of times a day. It would be nice to have 3 or so predefined settings the attributes. Like:
- 1 = 777
- 2 = 644
- 3 = 755

That would work allot faster!

Hm, I'm not against additions here, but isn't a doubleclick in the numeric field of the attributes dialog and typing those 3 digits there quite fast already?

:) Hello !
…but isn't a doubleclick in the numeric field of the attributes dialog and typing those 3 digits there…
• Nope !
- 1. On a remote Dir., I open the dir.
- 2. On a file, I get an error beep.

• One must use the dialogue Change attributes from the Files menu…
… where one can type the value in the bottom¦left field, making that the boxes are ticked¦unticked accordingly…

- But as a Mouse-Man, I'm not against 3 small buttons for the most usual values :D

• Aside : @ my hosts, such an operation is quite useless, since the servers restore the previous attributes, always… :|

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Thanks for clarification, indeed I referred to the changeAttrib-Dialog and not to a doubleclick on a file or folder.
