You need to be member for long enough ;)

Seriously: few years ago, there was some French(?) server with lots of TC plugins in various versions. I had get them all and decided to keep resources updated. Time goes by, I don't delete older versions and new ones come. that's all.

SISContents: freeware tool to unpack, edit and sign SIS/SISX/N-Gage packages(Nokia S60 3rd/5th and SE UIQ 3.x)

Since both wcx_SIS plugins don't support newer SIS packages, the most important feature of SISContents, for me at least, is batch extraction without GUI annoyance/interference, for using in user defined command or button bar.

Home:http://symbiandev.cdtools.net/home.html
Download:http://symbiandev.cdtools.net/downloads/siscontents158b.zip

http://symbiandev.cdtools.net/batchunpack.html wrote: Batch extraction of sis packages and n-gage files is available from command line. All commands are executed in Windows shell (Start->Run->type cmd and press Enter).

From a command-line prompt the syntax for using SISContents is as follows:
extsis.exe -x [options] file(s) -d destination

where:

-x is extract file(s)

[options] - list of options (not mandatory). Available options are:
-xcsd - extract components (in case of embedded package) to their own sub-directories of the folder where the files of a package are saved to. It's recommended to use this option if you want to separate files of main package form ones of its components.
-xcsis - extract components (in case of embedded package) as sis packages.
-nopkg - do not save pkg file for extracted package(s).

file(s) - list of file names or folders to be extracted. If you want to specify several names, separate them with a space character. Each file name must contain a full path (drive letter and directory where it is located). If path has a spaces in its name it must be taken in quotes. It is possible to use wildcards ("*" and "?") in file names (see examples).

-d - this argument shows the aplication that the next argument is a directory where extracted files should be saved.

destination - the name of a folder where to extract files to (including drive leter).

Examples:

1. Unpack single file C:\SIS packages\myfile.sis to C:\Unpacked:
extsis.exe -x "C:\SIS packages\myfile.sis" -d C:\Unpacked

2. Unpack myfile1.sis and myfile2.sisx from the same folder:
extsis.exe -x "C:\SIS packages\myfile1.sis" "C:\SIS packages\myfile2.sisx" -d C:\Unpacked

3. Find and unpack all sis and sisx packages from the same source, extract components as sis packages and do not save pkg script:
extsis.exe -x -xcsis -nopkg "C:\SIS packages\*.sis?" -d C:\Unpacked

4. Find all supported packages (sis, sisx, n-gage) and extract them to C:\Unpacked files. Save files of components to their own sub-folders:
extsis.exe -x -xcsd "C:\SIS packages\*.*" -d "C:\Unpacked files"

5. Find all sis packages which name starts with letter "a" and extract them to C:\Unpacked files\A:
extsis.exe -x -xcsd "C:\SIS packages\a*.sis" -d "C:\Unpacked files\A"

Total Commander :: Topic: Setting Environment Variables | Passing Vars beteween Apps

or

Vincent Fatica's Home Page: SetEnv
SETENV.EXE (for NT, Intel) offers greater functionality than the ResKit's command-line utility SETX.EXE in viewing and manipulating the WindowsNT "master" environments. By accessing either "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment" or "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" ("user" or "machine" environment) SETENV will display an entire environment or the value of a single variable, set or change the value of a single variable, or delete a variable.

I use software called virtual dimension, it works with windows 7 64bit.

It allows for total commander to have full transparency as well as some other options like, always on top.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/virt-dimension/

it has not had an update in 5 years, but it works without any problems.

Image: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8127/transtc.jpg

Then i use software called, automatic wallpaper changer by steve murphy to change the desktop wallpaper automatically, i then have about 300 1920x1200 size pictures.

http://awc.smurphy.co.uk/

It creates a different look everytime i use totalcmd, just cosmetic though.

I also use the transparency on my putty window, no other windows i used any features from virtual dimension. I don't even use the multiple desktops feature and i hide the tray icon. Works great.

If you are on windows xp then another good app is taskbar shuffle.

I was using virtual dimension tool too, for many years. Upgraded to win7 and I needed to replace it. Too buggy for me (the theme was changing back randomly).

I found a new similar utility, just released, very lean, developer takes requests etc. Has some smallish bugs for now but much better than virtual dimension for me now. Done in ahk, old friend here I see. Check it out http://code.google.com/p/mdesktop/

Winrar newsletter wrote:WinRAR 4.0 beta 1 and beta 2 Released!

** Highlights of the 4.0 beta version:
  1. 30% faster decompression: Thanks to the RAR algorithm, you can now extract your files 30% faster than before which will be most noticeable with large multi media files
  2. New password manager: For the first time ever you can save and define your most used passwords. With WinRAR beta 2 the usability of the new password manager has been improved even further to meet the customer's needs.
  3. Improved Unicode support: WinRAR now supports non-English file names and messages can now be delivered in HTML or Unicode text files.
  4. Further innovations:
    1. Better Blu-ray support: WinRAR 4.0 has better Blu-ray support that enables you to unpack Blu-ray files
    2. Optional password display: you now have the option to make your password visible during packing and unpacking processes
    3. The message list on the GUI SFX now only displays operation status and error messages, instead of all file names. This naturally speeds up the extracting process and reduces the disk space required.

More information on the improved items and fixed bugs.

I have to congratulate myself for reading through all 87 pages!!
Glad to have found TypeAndRun, great interface - so simple and slick
BUT Flashget ! Is it still considered the best? I downloaded the latest v.3.7 and talk about bloat - I mean it takes 50mb running !! too much for me I will look for something smaller!
