Post by *Clo »

2m^2 et alter

:) Hello !

GreenFish Icon Editor Pro 1.6 version has been released (Freeware). From Readme.txt :
Fixed bug :
• When copying to clipboard, inverted parts were replaced with the transparent colour.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Added features :
• GIF support (Note1)
Assembling ICL (icon library) and RES (Win32 resource) files.
• Editing Metadata (ANI summary info, JPEG quality, GIF loop count).
• The canvas can also be enlarged using the Crop tool (Note2).
• Exporting individual pages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Added language packs :
• Chinese (traditional), Dutch, Russian.
Note1 : GIFs > 8 BPP are supported (animated too).

Note2 : That's done by selecting the whole image area plus the wanted area to add
beyond the outer frame, anywhere (1–> all side¦s).
- In the opposite of the most graphic softs, the “Crop” button must be selected prior, then follow the next steps.

• The French updated Help is available too (more illustrated, as usual), please see the special link on the GFIE site…

Have fun !

System Path Commander is a tool which makes it easy to temporarily enable and disable directories in the system path,
rearrange their order, convert paths to short form to reduce space, identify invalid paths, and add new directories.

chrizoo wrote:Hi guys. What backup tools do you use ?
Does anybody of you know one that smartly handles moved files ?

Example: Let's say I have a 50GB mp3 collection in D:\mp3\ and I rename that folder to D:\Music\ All the programs I've seen treat that as deletion and parallel creation of completely different files and thus save a 50GB incremental or differential backup (.... which is entirely useless given that a full backup of the entire 50GB already exists).
Hello chrizoo

Maybe a little late respond, but i also started looking for a backup program that will fit my needs and stumbled on this conversation (tc forum is among the first places i searche in such a situation :)

Cobian Backup has the feature you are asking for. I changed the folder name after making full backup, and in the next incremental one it didn't copied the files, which were unchanged. But it didn't note the rename of the dir either :?:

Anyway i didn't like this one because of some other features (no automatic restore for ex.)

I was wondering if the meanwhile you found a program and which one?

When…

:) Hi Alexeï !

• Because currently it fits alright in that old monstruous thread !

- When it's a plug-in (maybe, but quite possible… ;) ) then we'll get a separate thread, of course.
- We miss a forum <Misc.> section, obviously.

You've got a point there. 3rd party tools are not a part of plugins, or even related add-ons.
I used 'TC Choice' (an add-on) to associate f.e .ICO files to GFIE by using F4, if I want to edit.

Hi all

my 1st post on these forums so be gentle

I found this today, it seems to work well with TC - URL removed by me due to forum spam mod...annoying but I understand.

Just Google - moonsoftware+shell extension
Shell Tools is a collection of free Windows shell extensions and utilities. This package contains updated versions of our old shell extensions FontLoader, FileNote, RegisterEx, CopyURL and new ones, including nice control panel that allows you to control all the extensions in one place.

An even better free one is FileMenu Tools. It has all of these plus many more and you can even edit/add your own.

http://www.lopesoft.com/en/fmtools/info.html
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

How do I un-overwrite all my data?
