Support synchronous selection. BTW it was asked somewhere.
Also it would be great to have possibility to copy HEX values too ('Copy as text' and 'Copy as HEX').

Support too.

Actually, I like the approach implemented in HxD hex editor: when you select some text, the corresponding hex values become selected too, but using lighter background color.

Yeah, this kind of feature I've been waiting for more than 5 years I reckon :)

Highly supported :) If not selecting the other area, then at least underlining the symbols would do.

Christian, is there any chance to get this feature in TC 8?

I too would like simultaneous selection of text and hex, and the option to copy text or hex. If I had to choose only one of these features, copying would be more important to me than selecting.
I was going to create a new topic, but I searched and discovered this topic, plus

Thanks

I also support this idea, especially with possibility of copying as text or as hex values (as MVV and Ralph propose).

Currently the hex part isn't selected because the selection will be copied as text, not as hex. But adding an option "copy as hex" would solve that, thanks for the suggestion.

It would also be nice if copying mode would be chosen by the "real" selection. Earlier I posted a screenshot of HxD which uses different styles for the selections: when user selects either text or hex, it is shown with dark blue background; the corresponding selection in the adjacent pane is displayed with light blue background and a darker border. By pressing TAB you switch between them. And when you press Ctrl+C, the "real" (dark blue) selection contents is copied to the clipboard.

Flint,
But I think context menu should contain both commands anyway.

...and Ctrl+Shift+C will copy hex values, resp Ctrl+Insert / Ctrl+Shift+Insert.
