Synchronize directories: overwrite confirmations

Post by *Sly »

I want to report that synchronize directories action does not respect "Confirm overwrites" checkbox value, if the checkbox is cleared, confirmation dialog appears anyway.
I noticed this issue using beta 3, and beta 4 has not fixed it.
(I use"Sync Directories" feature to sync my pocket pc via "WinCE device plug-in", if this information could help.)

Currently this option is used for copying and packing only, but not for file system plugins. I will try to add it too.

it would be great! since new files are always copied first, it is annoying enough running large dataset synchronization to wait till all new files will be copied and then press "overwrite all" button to finish sync (and wait while updated files will be overwritten).

p.s. it will be also great to have ability to save options from copying dialog ("confirm overwrites" and "delete all empty directories") to stored sync operation. As I say before, I'm using "synchronize dir" feature every day, and every day I have to choose the same options for each operation. maybe somebody else will find my suggestion useful.
In the same time it is OK to review and set manually synchronization flags for files in the list on every synchronization (to be aware that was changed).

Thanks a lot!
