I Already ask for it but i did not get a clear response.

Sample:
I have a tab X pointing on a folder (let say W:\Archives\20070423 ).
Unfortunately the network drive is down, not mounted, ....
If i switch to this X tab TC Alert "Drive Not Found" but does not allow me to lock the tab ! Cancel do not cancel ! My tab is lost forever !!!!

Even worst, i have folder that are created by scripts and if the folder does not exist yet the active tab, switch to the parent folder without any warning. My tab is lost forever !!!!

For now, i use a powerpro script that lock automatically invalid tabs on demand and shortcuts but it is not my preferred solution.

Is it possible to have a "Lock Tab" button that allow to keep invalid tab if I wish it ! (No automatic switching to parent folder)

My suggestion: TC could write every closed tab into the history list.
A "undoclosetab" -feature was also suggested before.

I've tested with subst, went onto the subst'ed drive and removed the subst'ed drive again => the now unreachable path is deleted from history.

But with only keeping the unreachable path in history, you still would have to return to the path (power up the server or plug the USB-stick etc.).

So I'd suggest additionally to not deleting the path from history:
If the dialog "Rename/lock tab" (after rick-clicking the tab) would not only contain an edit field for the name but also for the target, together with the (existing?) history of the last visted dirs, this should give the requested functionality.
=> Then you could right-click, select "Rename/lock tab" and set the last (lost) path again.
