On the left panel: new suggested header control (XP Luna theme used)
One the right panel: current old-style header control

New control uses current Windows theme, old doesn't.

In default WinXP theme the tab control has light brown color. Not white.

At least it should be configurable and by default switched to the winning poll option..

I think you haven't understood Alextp.

He wants to change the header control, not the color, if I'm not mistaken.

Right: I want to change header control.
It may be configurable, of course.

Here another screen with luna theme header control:

Hope, this makes things more clear.

@Alextp: Please add this to your first post.

The first fake image was done using media center theme.

I'm agree with you that must be configurable, but i think it's better to keep current old-style header control than to switch it to the winning poll option, with only 25 votes we don't have quorum...

Well, concering the progress bar, ghisler switched to the new one by default... May be this should be consistent...

sorry i have to say the old right just because its smaller !

personally i want the maximum space for the content im looking at so if you could make it smaller i would for sure like the new one more.

All the menues can be controled with keyboard-shortcuts so i could deactivate it if i dont like it anyway :D

Well, the header control is resizable.. So may be ghisler could choose a smaller height...

And how would that look in Win2k? :)

Don't forget WinXP is not the only Win OS out there...

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

Win2k should/could use the currently used header control (the self-made one). Imho there is no big difference between the 2k header control and the self-made one.
