And it's still on old version of Club Total (English) (I've missed it when I looked for it for the first time).

I did the same thing but when I double-click on a dll file, I get an error message. Am I doing something wrong?

That worked, but why won't it work with a double-click?

Because double-click tries to run the associated program.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Just enter 'dll' as an additional file extension for wcx_res in packer plugin dialog and you can open it with double click. You can enter as many additional file types as you like.

It doesn't work like that here. Double click just tries to run it, hence, I get the error.

Maybe you have played around with 'open with'? Open regedit and make sure that standard value in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.dll is 'dllfile' and under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\dllfile there is an entry called 'NoOpen'.

Open your wincmd.ini, line should look like that:
dll=79,[PathToPlugin]\wcres.wcx

If that doesn't work, please post the error message.

Both registry entries were as you said they should be. My line in the wincmd.ini file was like this, though:

dll=335,C:\Program Files\totalcmd\Packer Plugins\wcres.wcx

Why did you add 256 to 79?

An additional 256 means 'show as normal files (hide packer icon), open with Ctrl+PgDn, not Enter'... so it's obvious that enter or double click doesn't work then.

Replace 256 with 79 and it will work or delete the line and add wcx_res again.

I didn't add anything to it. That what it was when I installed it. ;)

I changed it to 79 and it works right, now. Thanks!

Where do I look to find out what those numbers mean (like 79 and 335)?

Curious, maybe that was a fault in an older wcx_res version? Using the latest? It never added 335 here afaik.

You can find this information in plugin writer's guide, somewhere linked under downloads.
