Autocomplete=3 and command line history

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Autocomplete=3 and command line history

Post by *roentgen »

With autocomplete=3 type 't' into command line. Assuming there is a directory temp, the command line should be autocompleted to 'temp'. Press Enter - the directory is launched in explorer. Get back to TC and press Control+Down.

Try to display the command line history dropdown menu.

Heh, strange indeed.
Then again, it suffices to type some letter, press Esc, and the command history is accessible again by pressing Ctrl-Down.

The history cannot be accessed with Ctrl+down when auto-complete is active. This cannot be avoided, Windows is catching the key before TC can see it.

In Start>Run dialog with autocomplete ON typing a letter triggers autocomplete but Alt+Down arrow still works.

But hey, I activated autocomplete=3 in TC for "testing purposes" only.
