cm_SyncChangeDir loses synchronisation

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

cm_SyncChangeDir loses synchronisation

Post by *fenix_productions »

Hi.
Please follow these steps:
- make different tabs on each panel (e.g. 2 for left and 2 for right),
- navigate panels to the same directories in one tab for each side (e.g. c:\windows),
- lock tabs with directory changes allowed (like on the screen),
- use cm_SyncChangeDir command,
- navigate to some dir,
- temporary switch the tab on one of the panels,
- switch back on the same panel to the locked tab.

As it can be seen, path for switched panels is lost. Locked one shows the dir when it's been locked. Shouldn't it show the dir which was navigated into?

You can see or download flash movie of this bug.

It seems you haven't used "Locked, but dir changes allowed" tabs too much up until now

- temporary switch the tab on one of the panels,
Synchangedirs is only reacting to directory changes (level up or down) within a panel. Absolute directory changes are ignored.

I've been using it almost from the beginning. I am newbie with cm_SyncChangeDir command.

In my opinion if absolute dir changes are ignored then the content of synchronised tab should be frozen.
