Neither, I use the button I placed on my button bar.

I just can't remember the shortcuts or I would be using them more. I just wish Ghisler would implement the changing of function keys descriptions on pressing shift, alt, ctrl. Although he thinks it could be confusing, it sure would help me a lot.

when i said alt+f5 i mean tc's own packing.
that window may be opened by yellow cub on button bar, "file" menu "pack", or by alt +f5.

i forgot about one way.
making button for custom program executing.

it would be good if in tis poll where "custom" and "other" options..

and i say: winrar, winace give more options than tcmd.
thats why i use context menu.
..i dont know how how behave 7z and winzip yet..
(options for packing)

Please add two more choices:
"Own Hot key"
"Button on Bar"
I'll vote the latter.

I neither use the context menu nor main menu. I use buttons and shortcuts at 50% (more or less)

BTW: ALT+Shift+F5 work fine for move to archive, but Shift+Button don't work. However CTRL+Button, pack to same panel, but CTRL+ALT+F5 don't work.
I can read English, but... I write like Tarzan. (sorry)

Thanks to icfu and Sheepdog
icfu wrote:Add this to the [Shortcuts] section of your wincmd.ini:

Code: Select all

CA+F5=cm_PackFiles
CAS+F5=cm_PackFiles
Afterwards you can press Ctrl+Alt+F5 to pack in same directory and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F5 to move and pack in same directory.

Neither also. So can't vote.
This is one of the few TC command buttons I have in my custom bar.

The question is not correct, I think.
The question is: Do you use TC or WinRAR/7z/WinZIP... for packing? Right? So I use WinRAR/7z.
But your question sounds like: Do you use shortcut or context menu for packing with TC? If so, then I use shortcut, of course. And I voted for Alt+F5

The question, which packing method is used, is another one, imo.

Alt+F5 - Always.

But I couldn't vote in this poll. Was there an expiration date for it?

• I checked, you are right, d (the starter) had set 500 days, and that delay is largely elapsed.
