Very useful plugin, thx!
But is still gor some issues: In QuickView-Mode the size is a ploblem.
1) resizeing isn't done correctly. i.e. in Tab Fileinfo I can't see the whole page but don't get scrollbars either. This is only the case at the first file while Quickvies is activ. If I jump to the next, I got scrollbars. (but then TC craches if an other app gets the focus; see below)
2) especially at the info- and ID3v1-Tab I can only see half the content. This could become better if the spaces between the input-fields would be smaller. And at the setting-Tag I find it quiet annoying if half the tab is taken by the Logo and I can't access the rest of the settings...
3) At the Frame-Tab it seems that the width of erevything eccept the "value" is fixed. This isn't optimal on small windows (->Quickview). You have the fields ID and Size only half filled but you can only read the first three letters of the value. You can't resize the fields and got no scrollbar.
I hope this will change for the next version.
TC craches (XP prof; no error message) when the plugin is activ and TC is send to backgound. This occours only after I jumped in Quickview to an other file.

Request: I would change the Tabs "ID3v1" and "ID3v2" to "Edit Tag" and "Tag Details".
On "Edit Tag" you could choose if the preset is v1 or v2 (autochoose if ony one is present) and on save if you want to write "ID3v1", "ID3v2" or "ID3v2 only if presend or ID3v1 to short"
with these changes the plugin would be perfect

thanks for testing this plugin and for your report.
1)
during the initialisation phase, this plugin need to know the windows's size of the lister which one is incorrect and I can't correct this but I found a turnaround for that, Try this :
When in quick view mode, with the mouse, move the central separation to the wanted size (personnally I use 25%) then exit from the QV mode (CTRL+Q)
when you return to the QV mode, the lister is resized and the display is correct and more, you gain space for the lister and you prevent the lister to crash
2)
in fact I use this positions to get a good feeling on my own screen.
may be if you maximize TC when you want to change settings.
3)
yes, I took the easiest way in changing only the size of the value colomn. I will take in consideration your remark for the next version
request)
changing ID3V2 tags is more complex than v1. for the moment, I'm not considering to edit v2 tags.

I have a bit specific wish for your plugin.
I wish Mmedia to keep information of current position of a track in one of its child windows like default lister player does. You may wonder why I need it : scripting utility I use can access text from child windows (can read mp3id tags from your plugin, for example). With this program I can put mp3 file that is played in TC QuickView to WinAmp and play it from current position.
I can do this when default TC lister is used not when I use MMedia.

Lister shows milliseconds in window with "MCIWndClass" class, for example:
No, I can't. WMP doen't show this value in any of his child windows.WMP already display such value and it will be redundant. could you use this one displayed directly in the player ?

Code: Select all
