Lister don't close with [x] button.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Lister don't close with [x] button.

This is a rare situation to reproduce, anyway here are the steps:
  • Press F3 over a plain text.
  • Go to TC program > configuration > Edit/view
  • Press "Associations..." button.
  • In task bar, back to previous lister instance.
  • Button [x] don't close lister (it works with scape).

Well, IIRC it's been said many times that it is a design limitation that Lister cannot close when one of TC's modal windows is shown.

Hello,
I think that it is not exclusive of "all" modal-windows. For other different cases with "modal windows" in TC, I can close the lister from [x] button. (Of course, I have not tested all possibles combinations)
It seems be related to same dialog for association files. Also is reproducible for the dialogs called from:
  • Plugins > wcx [Configure]
  • Menu files > "Associate with..."
  • Configurations > edit/view [Association...]

It's indeed a limitation of Windows with modal dialogs. The only way to avoid it is by starting a separate Lister.exe (available on our addons page) as an external program, but this is of course much slower with today's virus scanners...
