As far as I know the last Public Beta is 6.01 Beta 2.

If there is any other they are not public yet.

I've seen the beta 4 around the net but I wasn't going to touch it unless I got it from here.

That's true it's ready for download from some sites but I would also prefer that Christain give us the link for it (if he wants it)

Be warned: There is no beta 4, neither official nor inofficial. Beta testers currently have release candidate 1, which came directly after beta 2. I don't know what fake these sites have, but be very careful, it may contain a trojan horse or the like.

Also found the fake beta4 release on a chineese site.
- Last Modif. Date: 30/11/2003 06:01:00
- 'about' box says: v6.01 (not 6.01b4 ??)
- SFV: TOTALCMD.EXE 2432ED4F
it also has a number in the archivename: maybe a betatester id ?

Hallo,

I have seen it on a very popular shareware/freeware site from romania.

Filename: tc601b4.exe (742.670 bytes, about within is a TOTALCMD.EXE (only one file, Last Modif. Date: 30/11/2003 06:01:00).
And this TC file shows differences to TC 6.01b2 when doing a file compare. But file size (754.724 bytes) is the same, also UPX packed.

I was not running these exe files. But as Christian says, it could be a modified version with a trojan inside or so.
