ftp transfer slows down after ~320mb
Hi there, I`m new here, just signed up to report a weird "bug?" of tc 7.5 under windows 7
I used tcmd 7.5 under xp for ~2 months and everything was fine but when i switched to win 7 I discovered something really strange.
Downloading a file from a media center, over lan, works fine in first ~320 mb (~9-10 mb/s). After this, the transfer freezes like...1-2 secs and starts again from 1-2 MB/s...and so on at each ~320 mb. I mention that is not any fault from my network or from that media center because i tested other ftp clients and everything is fine, plus, I tried an internet download from a public ftp server and everything is the same.
Hope this will help other people withs ame problem,
cheers and a happy new year

Hmm, no problem here with any servers - maybe it's caused by a virus scanner?

32bit? 64 bit? Which edition (home, pro...)? Maybe this info is important...freeloader wrote:...but when i switched to win 7...

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

It could be the Application Layer Gateway service problem mentioned in the German forum recently:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B931130&x=7&y=13
"Connection closed by remote host"
TC then stalls for a moment and tries to reconnect and resume the transfer.
