i would really be happy to filter out my directory history using Alt Down like attached image.
Press Alt Down ( you get the list but with the filter dialog )

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately Alt+Down uses a normal popup menu, which cannot be filtered this way.

a solution could be to fill the actual tab/panel with any directories (with or without user commands, i don't know), triggered by a hotkey like quick search does.
it would work like the output of directories found by alt-f7 search and then feed to listbox i think.

i just think that it maybe possible to have one extra menu item that contains a editbox and menu recreated by search ...
maybe it is easier to have such feature as a plugin with hotkey similar to F4 menu ....if i get some time i'll be brave enough to try.

Hi,
you can redirect the History View contents to a file. Then, define a Hot Directory entry for that file. After that, save current Total Commander settings to the wincmd.ini file (Configuration: Save settings). And after that sort / search through the contents by either sorting out the columns / Ctrl+S.
