FileSystem Plugin system request

Post by *ctiberg »

It would be awful nice if one were able to map a drive letter to an FS-plugin within TC.. Or at least specify that the FS-plugin should appear in the drives menu, so that you don't have to navigate to it every time.

If this is already possible, please educate me and excuse me for my lack of knowledge :)

Ahh... Seems like I hadn't powered up my brain after all :) That's of course the thing to do, yes... But it would be nice to have it on the drives menu anyway :)

I just make a button:
enter as command: cd \\\Plugin name

(note: plugin name, not plugin file name, case-sensitive!)
example: cd \\\Task manager
...BRB...

buttonbar buttons and directory hotlist entries are static. You have to add/remove entries manually.
The drivebar is dynamically. If a drive letter has changed for example the changes will be visible immediately. Transferred to filesystem plugins this could mean after installed a new plugin a new drivebar button will appear automatically. That would be definetely nice. But there some open questions about it: How to exclude certain filesystem plugins in the allowed option? Which "driveletter" should be shown on the button?
