[forum] opera and subSilver

Post by *MxxCon »

i noticed there are few problems when using opera7 with subSilver theme.
seems like most elements don't have any borders around them..buttons, text boxes, check boxes, drop down boxes, etc..
i don't know if this is problem with this board or general problem with subSilver theme..

Strange, according to the www.phpbb.com site, there should be no problems with Opera...

@MxxCon

I am using Opera V7.01 and SubSilver, too.
I do see borders around buttons, drop down lists etc. pp.
Am I missing something? I mean the borders I see are
just thin lines. Should they be somehow more decorated?

Ok, thanks for the screenshot. I realize I AM missing the same things that you do not see either, yet I simply did not notice :?
One more thing: if I activate a pull down menu e.g. the full pull down menu has got a border line.
Maybe this is not a bug but a feature of SubSilver?
Maybe this (really minor) problem will vanish after upgrading to Opera 7.02?
I will see.

3 hours later: Opera 7.02 installed, no difference visible.
(But I can live with it the way it is.)

Here is how it looks in Mozilla:

mozilla_forum.png

And the same in Internet Explorer:

ie_forum.png

As you can see, the edit boxes are missing their borders in Opera but not in Mozilla and IE. Apparently an Opera bug...

It works fine with Opera 6.05 though. That's indeed quite strange

Could you check it again? I found a bug in the style sheet which may have caused Opera to look in the wrong place for some images.

@Christian Ghisler

No change visible for me, Opera V7.02.
Dropdown lists get their framelines only when I open them.
Action buttons have got no frame at all.
As everything looks fine with Opera 5, this might indicate a
bug in Opera V7.xx

Must be an error then. If anyone finds out how to modify the style sheet to show the borders in Opera, let me know!
