I'm getting "Not trusted server certificate" when I try to connect to my barracudadrive webdav server from android using plugin. Messages flashes quickly then returns to ///WebDAV screen. I can connect to this server from Total Commander windows version without issue.

Make sure you have the latest version of the plugin (install upates via "+" button on the home screen). Older versions didn't accept invalid certificates at all.

If you already have the latest plugin, make sure that the cert hasn't expired.

That plugin was downloaded and loaded 8/5/2011. The name is tcandroidwebdav_b5.apk. In fact, the app itself and all 3 plugins were loaded (for the first time) on that date.

Hmm, then it should definitely work - I added this already on June 10. I added this for a user who had the same problem.

Could you create a read only account for me on your server? I don't need to access any files, all I need is a way to connect, so I can see in the debugger what is going wrong. If yes, please send the login info to beta at ghisler dot com. Thanks!

Sure, I'll create the account tonight and email you.

Thanks, problem solved by e-mail. The server certificate didn't report a correct server name.

Not exactly the same issue, but I'm getting "No peer certificate" when I try to connect to my lightpd webdav server from android using plugin. It works perfectly fine with the windows version. Any suggestions ? thanks !

It seems that you don't have any certificate installed at all on the server. You need to install at least a self-signed certificate.

Actually, I do have a self signed one... The windows version of the plugin report an untrusted emitter, but it connects fine...
I can PM you the URL if you want to test it out.
thanks

That would be nice, please send me the URL to beta at ghisler dot com!

I don't need a user name or password because the certificate is checked before the actual login.

Same problem here: "Not trusted server certificate" with beta 6 of the plugin. As far as I can tell the (self signed) certificate should be OK, at least access with the WindowsMobile-Version of TC worked. If needed I can mail the URL.

How about a allow-all-certificates-setting in the plugin? It would prevent this kind of Problems.

This works fine up to Android 2.2. Newer versions don't even let the certifcate through to Total Commander, they just abort the connection with "no peer certificate" error. I could not find any solution so far, even trusting all certificates doesn't work.

Too bad. Seems I'm stuck with Mobile Webdav, despite it's ugly UI.

Where can I find that? Is it on the market?

Yes, it is. "Mobile Webdav" by padersync, ATM I'm using the trial version.
