Temporary on-off Internal Assotiations

I would like to be able to temporarily include \ disable the internal association (as completely all the associations, as well as some individually). Now they can only be removed, this is not always convenient. For example, if in system is installed Office, I want to disable the internal association of office files, and use an external editor. If Office is not installed - I can switch back to internal associations.
