prevent explore window opening from TC

I never, ever want an explorer window (folder) to open when I click / doubleclick / etc. from TC. Please add a prefeneces / config value to prevent this.

I am using TC so as NOT TO have to fight with explorer´s quirks and "features"; I do not want to see explorer opened from TC, not even accidentally.

As i never ever see a windows explorer window open when i click, double click inside TC's file panel: What are you doing exactly?

I think he is talking about e.g. typing just a dot in a command line and pressing Enter. But TC here just passes command line to shell function that extcutes it.

unfortunaltely, this occurs only rarely, and I have not been able to reproduce it at will (have tried for ~20min now).
best disregard this request.

Happens to me as well. Not very often but very annoying all the same.

actualy it is very easy to reproduce and it's not a bug (I hope that is what you are talkink about.)

if your "selection bar" (dont know how to call it) is located on a folder and you press ctr + enter (not knowing that ctrl was pressed) the name of selected folder is sent to command line (but you may not notice this).
NOw you press enter for a second time (becouse when you pressed it first time "nothing" happened) - focus is on command line and explorer window pops up with a selected folder.

I used to get this but then i set quick search to the option of. letters only. This prevents the command line from being activated when you type, to get the command line you can do ctrl+down in this configuration.

I used to press "\" by mistake and then enter and it would open explorer before setting that option.
