drag file to move only one click

Post by *bbbslayer »

I used mouse to move file frequently. TC default drag operation is copy. There is a nice thick to rescue. Holding Right mouse button when you drag files. The icon changed to minus, and drag option changed to move.

But this thick does not always work. Holding and releasing a mouse button is difficult to measure. I always get a copy drag when I release the right button too early or too late.

When dragging files, you hold the left mouse button. I think Clicking right mouse button once is better than Holding right button to change drag opration.

For example:
you drag files to move dragging files, holding left buttion and click right button once, the drag operation changed to move. That's all. Much easier than before.

I hope TC adds this feature in the future.

You may press the <Shift> key while droping files to move them instead of copying.

I know "shift" or "holding right button" to move when dragging files.

I just think one click right button is easier than holding right button to change dragging state.

So this is a suggestion. Maybe TC will have this feature in the future.

if you get a Copy operation when releasing the right button too late, it's definitely a bug and you should report it in the appropriate section of the forum.

The normal behaviour is that you press the right button, then (still holding it) release the left button (the Move dialog appears), and only after that release the right button (nothing happens). You don't need to release the buttons simultaneously, or synchronize them, or anything like that.

Concerning your suggestion, — well, I admit it might be useful for some users, but of course it must be optional to avoid confusion among those who like the current behaviour and want TC to fall back to Copy immediately when the right button is released.
