Note: Not sure whether this is just 8.0b-related but since I have noticed this behavior starting with b16 I opted to post it here.
Have assigned cm_IntCompareFilesByContent (and formerly cm_CompareFilesByContent) to Ctrl + Alt + F2, but as of TC8.0 b16 it doesn't work at all. In fact, no Ctrl + Alt + Fx combination works.
Assigning it to, say, Shift + Ctrl + F2 works though.

Hello, Sergio.
Cannot confirm that Ctrl-Alt-FunctionKey assignments do not work in the current beta versions:
Since ages, the key combination <Ctrl><Alt><F1> has been assigned to the internal command cm_CopyNamesToClip and the key combination <Ctrl><Alt><F2> has been assigned to the internal command cm_CopyFullNamesToClip. They both work fine in Total Commander 8.0ß20 32-bit.
Could it be that you recently installed a software which steals function key combinations? Software to administer video card settings e.g. are notorious for stealing key combinations systemwide.
Kind regards,
Karl

Thanks for replying.
I have no system-wide keyboard assignment s/w or the like (besides the media buttons that control Media Player and Winamp.. for which I have not enabled system-wide shortcuts btw).
Internal TC key associations are always superceded by user-assignments and I can confirm that just Ctrl + Alt + Fx combinations do not actually work.

I have tried it, but it works just fine with both 32-bit and 64-bit TC8 beta 20. I assigned Ctrl+Alt+F2 to cm_CompareFilesByContent.
Could you try to re-install beta 15 (or the last one where it worked) and check whether it still works? If not, then something else must be causing your problem.

@Hacker
Thanks for your suggestion. HKE revealed the shortcut was hijacked by an Intel video driver I have on both my desktop and laptop (even though the hotkey isn't neither defined nor used by the driver), from different brands but both with Intel-integrated gpu.
This pointed me to believe it was related to TC, but after killing the offending process the assignment works again.
Just for the record, the process is
hkcmd.exe
Intel Corporation
(btw, since I jumped from v7.56a to beta 16. I believe this issue should be showing in previous TC releases as well)
Thanks all again.
