Perhaps it is a bug

I do not know if it's a bug in beta TC , but often if I double click on the TC, PC freezes for a second and the monitor goes black .

No, it is by design:
Everytime I doubleclick at the filepanel of TC 8.0b21-32bit , right at the entry "hibernate.lnk", my WinXP SP3 freezes for a second and then monitor goes black ;)

Well, to be serious: I never had this effect.
Which TC version and OS Version are you using ?

Sounds like a internal graphic driver recovery reset.
Vista/Window7 with aero enabled?
Does it help to update the driver for you display card?

Please check in the properties of the link to TC whether there are any compatibility settings checked. If yes, disable them.

I mean double click in the TC form (items listed in directory and tab) not in the browser.

Yes, I understand that. When you start a program from TC, it will inherit all the compatibility settings which you have defined for TC! That's why I asked you to check that.
