Symlink-, junction- and hardlink-handling in TC

I'd really like to start using the "new" NT-links (symlinks, junctions and hardlinks). Unfortunately I can use either these links or Total Commander due to incomplete support- and I prefer the Total Commander.

I managed to find plugins that show the link-type (Symlink, Junction), and to find out how to use external tools to create links from within Total Commander

Apparently there are different possibilities how to handle the files when copying/ moving NT-links eller directories containing NT-links. I'm not sure how Total Commander does handle these choices. I'm afraid to get unexpected results or even loose data when inadvertently copying/moving a directory containing NT-links, therefore I don't dare to use NT-links.

To solve that it would be nice with a few new features
1. Showing folder overlay icons defined by the software LSE (link shell extension). This would help to discrimate between the different types of links. These overlays are not shown now, even after activating the option "show overlay icons). All I see is a big grey arrow.
2. Some sort of warning dialogue when copying/ moving/ renaming a directory that contains NT-links or is a NT-link.

Thanks

You may use content plugins to see link type in tooltip (e.g. my NTLinks). I don't think link type is important, most of them are symlinks and junctions.

When you move/rename folder within same volume, TC/Explorer move only top folder entry so links are preserved. But on copying both programs copy entire folder structure as if links were just folders.
